Synopsis:
Consist of complete Episode 1-11 (Extra Behind The Scene)
Bitter is the appropriate adjective for all the characters in Nyokei Kazoku (Thursdays, 10 p.m., TBS network). Reiko Takashima plays the 35-year old eldest daughter of a wealthy company president. He has passed away leaving behind three daughters who all dislike each other, a mistress (Ryoko Yonekura) and a best friend and business associate, Ono, played by the great character actor Isao Hashizume. Ono is handling the estate but definitely does not deserve such trust, being involved in all sorts of backroom financial shenanigans.
Hovering in the background is the head of a Japanese traditional dance school (Katsunori Takahashi) who is covering his financial bets by going after both the eldest sister and the mistress. Takashima and Yonekura make believable rivals.
Theme song Ai No Shi by Imai Miki.
